By Jewish Review

article created on:

Sept. 2 is the deadline to apply for grants from the Oregon Jewish Community Foundation Schnitzer Supporting Foundation and the OJCF Community Endowment Fund.

Applications and guidelines for both funds are on the OJCF Web site at www.ojcf.org. Click on “Receive a Grant” and scroll down to the bottom of the page for application materials for both grant programs available in Microsoft Word and pdf formats.

Last year, the Community Endowment Fund awarded a total of $20,000 and the Supporting Foundation awarded over $63,000 benefiting 17 local and regional organizations.

Both funds give priority to projects addressing needs in the areas of Jewish art and culture, community development, education, health, social welfare and/or any other special requests that:

· Represent an innovative, start-up effort
· Are capital in nature, i.e. construction, renovation, equipment
· Promote collaboration among qualified organizations without duplicating services
· Serve a broad segment of the community
· Are located in Oregon or the SW Washington area.
