Judith Arcana reads from her newest poetry collection. Like many Jews in the U.S., Judith is the grandchild of immigrants from Russia and Poland. The characters in her new book “4th Period English” include an English teacher and her students, whose families came here more recently, from different countries with different languages—but for similar reasons. She will also read published poems about her family. 7 p.m. at Looking Glass Books, 7983 SE 13th St. For more information, visit juditharcana.com or call the bookstore at 503-227-4760. | ||
