EUGENE: 500 Years of Ladino Literature: An Overview. Ladino (or Judeo-Spanish) is the literary language of the descendents of the Jews expelled from Spain in 1492. Sunday morning Purim celebration at Shaarie Torah. In addition to reading the Megillah, all children and youth are invited to join “road-e-o” in a matan (gifts) projects. K-5 will be creating mishloach manot to elderly members of Shaarie Torah and package it nicely with a decorated card. We will then deliver it to 30+ residents.
