Fatal Embrace: Christians, Jews and the Search for Peace in the Holy Land. Mark Braverman will be making four presentations in Portland March 12­14. Mark Braverman is a Jewish American with deep family roots in the Holy Land. Trained as a clinical psychologist, and a pioneer in crisis intervention and recovery from trauma, Mark now devotes himself full-time to the cause for peace. He focuses on the role of religious beliefs and theology regarding Israel/Palestine and the future of interfaith relations. Speaking engagements are March 12, 11 a.m. presentation and noon Luncheon (RSVP required for lunch) at St. Michaels & All Angels Episcopal Church, 1704 NE 43rd Ave. RSVP for Lunch to MarlaML@stmaa.org. That evening, he will speak at 7 p.m. at the First Unitarian Church, Eliot Chapel, 1011 SW 12th Ave. March 14 at 9 a.m. Mr. Braverman will speak at the Central Lutheran Church, 1820 NE 21st Ave. Then at 11 a.m. he will be at the Christ Church Episcopal, 1060 Chandler Road in Lake Oswego.
