Adieu Mères / Goodbye Mothers. For centuries Muslims and Jews lived in harmony in Morocco. Set in Casablanca in the 1960s, Adieu Mères depicts the deep friendship of two families, one Muslim and one Jewish, during the historical period known as the “black years of emigration” when Jewish families were urged by Zionists to leave their native land.
