Bill Naito Legacy Fountain Grand Opening Celebration. Join Portland Parks and Recreation, the Portland Parks Foundation, and the Portland Development Commission to celebrate the opening of Portland’s newest fountain in Waterfront Park, near the Burnside Bridge. Enjoy two days of entertainment including daily giveaways, artist demontrations, face painting and multicultural music. Yiddish music duo Amy Shapiro and Jeff Olenick perform from 12:20–12:50 p.m. The Bill Naito Legacy Fountain is part of the pavilion and plaza area that is the new home to Saturday Market. The fountain honors late civic leader Bill Naito, and the poem engraved into its steps celebrates the diverse cultural influences that have shaped our city.
