Woodschlock: The Jewish-American Tribal Love-Rock Purim Schpiel. Dust off your love beads and bell bottoms and get ready for a psychedelic take on the whole Megillah with music inspired by Hair, Bob Dylan, the Beatles and more! The schpiel will follow a brief service and reading at 7:30 p.m. An after-party with nibbles, drinks (no-host bar) and dancing begins in Goodman Hall after the schpiel is over. There is no charge but donations to the Holiday Celebration Fund are gladly accepted. Celebrate Purim with Havurah Shalom. Children can play games and enjoy crafts beginning at 5 p.m. At 6 p.m., there will be a short Maariv service followed by a costume parade and then the Megillah reading and a skit- “Nu? Media: Up Close with the Celebrities Who Gave Us Purim.” Bring pots and pans and kitchen utensils to drown out Haman’s name and then donate them to the Community Warehouse.
