Susan G. Rosenzweig, Psy.D. announced the opening of her new psychology practice in Northwest Portland. The Center for Psychology and Health will offer psychological treatment to adults and teens, especially those dealing with medical illnesses themselves or in family members.
Rosenzweig works with people living with chronic and acute conditions, chronic pain and fatigue, as well as those struggling with situational depression, panic or anxiety, stress and a wide variety of psychiatric diagnoses.
Rosenzweig is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Oregon Psychological Association, and is a former board member of the Oregon Psychological Association. She also holds staff privileges at Legacy Portland Hospitals. Rosenzweig received her Doctor of Psychology from Florida Tech. She did her undergraduate studies at Williams College.
She has been a licensed psychologist in Oregon since 1996 and had a private practice in Gresham and Portland until moving her office to the Johnson Street Professional Building in Northwest Portland. Solidly grounded in the importance of community connections and neighborhoods, Susan opened the Center for Psychology and Health to make effective psychological treatment available and accessible to more of the Portland community.
“The center is accessible to people with disabilities. It offers handicap parking behind the building and there’s an elevator for our patients,” said Rosenzweig. “The office is also near public transportation (Tri-Met and the Portland Streetcar) and it’s very close to Good Samaritan Hospital,” she added.
Center for Psychology and Health is conveniently located at 1920 NW Johnson, Suite 119. Office hours are: Monday through Thursday 9 a.m.-5 p.m. A parking lot for patients without disabilities is located across the street from the Johnson Street Professional Building.
