Beth Israel wraps up sesquicentennial celebration

BETH ISRAEL GALA—Congregation Beth Israel clergy and their spouses sing around the cake honoring the congregation’s 150th anniversary. The May 17 gala dinner and dance was the culminating event in a year-long celebration of the Reform congregation’s 150-year history. The event raised approximately $70,000. Proceeds from the Mitzvah Moment benefit Beth Israel religious school scholarships, membership services and programming. The celebration featured a 10-minute video by Tony and Robyn Barbon of Folklore Media on the congregation’s history.
