Grant requests due May 1 to youth foundation

The Oregon Jewish Community Youth Foundation is accepting grant applications.
The OJCYF, under the auspices of the Oregon Jewish Community Foundation, gives priority to projects addressing needs in Jewish and/or secular art and culture, community development, education, health, social welfare, elder care, human rights, homelessness, teen runaways and/or events that:
• Are in accordance with the OJCF mission
• Promote Jewish and/or secular art, culture, education, health, social welfare or community development
• Promote general culture, education, health, social welfare or community development
• Represent an innovative, start-up effort
• Are capital in nature, i.e. construction, renovation, equipment
• Promote collaboration among qualified organizations without duplicating services
• Serve a broad segment of the community
The OJCYF does not support fundraisers, endowments, debt reduction, individual scholarships, private foundations, political projects or other cause-related programs.
All applications must be in the OJCF office no later than May 1. The OJCYF Board will vote on awards in May. Applications are on OJCF’s Web site at www.ojcf.org. Click on “OJCYF—Youth Foundation.” Mail to: OJCYF, c/o John Moss, 610 SW Broadway, Suite 407, Portland, OR 97205.
