OAJC to honor Port of Portland

The Oregon Area Jewish Committee will honor The Port of Portland Oct. 25 with its 2011 Human Relations Award. The award will be presented at a dinner at the Governor Hotel beginning at 6 p.m. with no-host cocktails and dinner at 7 p.m.
Senator Jeff Merkley will be the keynote speaker.
For more than 100 years, the Port of Portland has focused on enhancing the region’s quality of life economically, socially and environmentally, while providing competitive cargo and passenger access to regional, national and international markets.
OAJC’s Human Relations Award is presented to leaders and corporations in our community who have demonstrated their profound commitment to preserving our heritage of democracy.
Dinner co-chairs are Tim Boyle of Columbia Sportswear, Bob Packard of Zimmer Gunsul Frasca, and Bob Van Brocklin of Stoel Rives LLP.
