Teens plan Feb. 4 city-wide high school gathering

The Portland Jewish Youth Initiative is holding its second city-wide Teen Wednesday Night event on Feb. 4 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Congregation Shaarie Torah. Teens from all over Portland will come together as a community while exploring their connections to Judaism. All eighth- to 12th-grade Jewish youth in the greater Portland area are invited whether they are affiliated with a synagogue or not. The theme for this event is “Tu B’Shavat Today: Israel and the Jewish People as an Environmental ‘Light Unto Nations.’” Dinner will begin at 6 p.m. Shaarie Torah is located at 920 NW 25th Ave. Portland.
