Austrian-born American Chaim Gross was well-known for his direct woodcarvings and considered one of the greatest 20th century figurative sculptors. Gross was a professor of printmaking and sculpture at the Educational Alliance and the News School for Social Research in New York City, and an influential draftsman and watercolorist. This exhibit, from the Rene and Chaim Gross Foundation, includes selected works that span more than 70 years of Gross' career. March 6-May 25. Free for members, $3 for nonmembers.
