Neveh hires Rothstein

By Jewish Review

Caron Blau Rothstein has joined Congregation Neveh Shalom as program coordinator.

Rothstein will enhance existing programming and develop new program options in areas including family programming, havarot, tikkun olam, Israel-related activities and holiday events.

Rothstein, a native of California, spent 12 years in Baltimore before moving to Portland last August with husband Ari. The couple has three sons: Jonah, 9, Jesse, 7, and Samuel, 5. All three sons attend Portland Jewish Academy.

In Baltimore, Rothstein completed a graduate program in Jewish communal service, earning a master’s of social work and a master’s degree in modern Jewish history.

She worked in Baltimore’s Jewish community for 10 years, first as a campaigner at the local federation and then as the founding director of the Jewish Volunteer Connection. Before moving to Portland, she was the director of special projects at the Center for Jewish Education.

Rothstein can be reached at Congregation Neveh Shalom at 503-246-8831, ext. 139, or crothstein@nevehshalom.org.
