Named by Talk Magazine one of the 50 best speakers in the U.S., Rabbi Telushkin, author of best-seller "Jewish Literacy: The Most Important Things to Know About the Jewish Religion," will give two presentations at Shaarie Torah. His earlier book, "Words That Hurt, Words That Heal," was the motivation behind Senators Joseph Lieberman and Connie Mack's "National Speak No Evil Day." In addition to lecturing throughout the U.S., Rabbi Telushkin serves as senior associate of CLAL, in a member of the Board of Directors of the Jewish Book Council and is the spiritual leader of the Synagogue for the Performing Arts in Los Angeles. The first small talk starts at 5:30 pm and includes dinner catered by Meirav Goldner ($20 members, $25 nonmembers). The longer talks starts at 7:30 pm ($15 members, $20 nonmembers).
