The seventh annual Oregon Jewish Museum Gala auction will “paint the town red” on Sunday, May 4, at the Governor Hotel downtown.
Painting the town red is the theme of this year’s main fund-raising event for the OJM. Planners say there will be lots of red on view and up for sale at the auction, including a classic retro Electra Red Betty woman’s bicycle donated to the auction by Lakeside Bicycles of Lake Oswego. The stylish two-wheeler features leopard-print seat and handle grips.
Planners moved the auction start time up to 4 p.m. this year so that people can get home early to get ready for work and school Monday morning.
This year’s OJM Gala Committee, without chairperson, includes Jody Klevit, Nicole Frisch, Nina Handelman, Ruby Sachter, Toinette Menashe, Bev Getreu, Gloria Borg Olds, Christi Goodman, Leah Faw, Friderike Heuer, Lesley Glasgow, Julia Heinzman, Alice Meyer, Sue Wapnick, Natalie Linn, Lisa Blank, Davia Rubenstein, Carolyn Shain Snyder, Judith Margles.
Ticket information will be available soon.
