Traverse the deserts of the Middle East, the mountains of northern India and the warm waters of the Mediterranean with this eclectic ensemble that brings ancient musical traditions to the contemporary audience. Qadim—meaning "ancient past" in Hebrew and "that which will come" in Arabic—performs instrumental pieces and lyric-based pieces using the Hebrew, Arabic, Greek, Turkish, Farsi and Ladino languages. Eliyahu Sills, Qadim's founder, plays the nay, bansuri and vocals. He is joined by Rachel Valfer on vocals and oud, Jason Ranjit Parmer on Indian tablas and Faisal Zedan on percussion.
