When the film opens, Malcolm is about to start his last year of seminary. He is unemployed, uncertain about his future, unrecognized as "Malcolm" by his parents and single. In a relative "leap of faith," Malcolm decides to take a cross-country road trip before the school term begins, and along the way he meets a series of people who lend an assortment of perspectives to the greater dialog about identity, faith and love. By the time Malcolm arrives in New York, his future holds more possibilities than could have been imagined. $6 at the door. 7 p.m. Temple Beth Israel, 2550 Portland St., Eugene. 541-345-7314.
