The music of Ya Elah encompasses many faiths and cultures. Words are drawn from sacred texts and poetry, while the music, composed by Bon Singer, incorporates the influences of Bulgarian village songs, Middle Eastern melodies and Medieval choral works. This ensemble of vocalists and instrumentalists have backgrounds in cantorial, folk, jazz and various ethnic and classical styles. Audience participation is often encouraged as Ya Elah seeks to move and inspire its audiences, not merely to entertain them. $20 in advance, $22 at the door, $10 for teens 12-17 and free for kids younger than 12.
