On Purim, dressing up, getting tipsy and being rowdy isn’t just a good
time—it’s a mitzvah. Commemorate a long tradition of "sticking it to The
Man" with a secular, celebratory shindig presented by Heeb Magazine, Willamette Week and Young Jews on the Come Up. Esther danced her way into the king’s good graces, so pay your respects on the floor with DJs H.R. Paperstacks and Hanukkah Miracle (Hot Mess), Half a Shekel, Pretty Please, and live music by Colt Vista. Kenny and Zuke's will provide the hamantaschen. It’s Purim Portland-style. $4 cover, plus $1 donation to the Oregon Food Bank. For information, visit www.youngjews.com. 9 p.m. Someday Lounge, 125 NW 5th Ave.
