In hosting its 29th annual Purim party in Portland, Chabad of Oregon is “Taking the party to town.”

This year, Chabad’s Purim party will feature a kosher buffet lunch and Megillah reading in downtown Portland. From noon to 2 p.m., businesspeople and anyone who can get downtown is invited to stop in at the Portland Hilton. The Megillah will be read at 12:15 and 1:15.

“It’s an incredible networking opportunity for the Jewish business community,” said Rabbi Motti Wilhelm, who is organizing the party. “It’s a great opportunity to bring Portland’s business people together, but it’s open to everyone.”

There is no charge for the event (donations accepted), but reservations are required. RSVP at www.chabadoregon.com. For questions, call 503-977-9947.
