YAFA ARBERBOY
Speaking out for Sderot
By Jewish Review
article created on:
Yafa Arberboy speaks about the plight of residents in Sderot, Israel, who have faced rocket attacks from Gaza for seven years.
Arberboy, who works for Paamonim (bells) in Sderot, spoke to numerous groups in Portland (including Portland Jewish Academy, above) to raise funds for the beleaguered community.
In most communities Paamonim helps low-income residents create a balanced budget; in Sderot, the group helps struggling residents meet emergency needs caused by rocket attacks.
To donate to the effort, make out checks to the Jewish Federation of Greater Portland with Paamonim on the memo line. Send checks to JFGP, 6680 SW Capitol Highway, Portland, OR 97219.
