Chabad Jewish Center of Hillsboro is celebrating a year of a weekly minyan every Shabbat (Friday evening/Saturday morning).
“We are thankful to all those who have participated and kept it up, and we hope to be able to continue with a weekly minyan in the future,” said Rabbi Menachem Rivkin, Chabad Jewish Center of Hillsboro.
Rabbi Rivkin and his wife Chaya moved to Hillsboro in January 2007. The center offers Shabbat and holiday services, classes on Judaic literacy, and cultural Jewish, Israeli and holiday events.
A Purim party featuring a buffet, drinks and Megillah reading will be at 7:30 p.m., March 20 at the Holiday Inn Express. Cost is $10 per person, $12 per couple or $20 per family.
