Jewish composer, singer and recording artist, Debbie Friedman, sets the prayers, teachings and melodies of ancient texts to contemporary music. She has released more than 20 albums, and her music is performed in synagogues worldwide. Proceeds from this concert will benefit the Cogan Scholarship and future MJCC social and cultural programming. Co-presented by the Harold Schnitzer Family Program in Judaic Studies and the Mittleman Jewish Community Center, with special thanks to Cindi and Jared Gellert. $25 in advance for adults, $10 children and students with ID; $30 for adults after May 9 and $15 children and students with ID; or $100 for patrons which includes tickets to Sunday concert and May 19 lecture.
