Speaker Lorraine Widman will talk about the relationship of Jewish sculptors to abstractionism at the start of the 20th century. To explore the pioneering efforts of 20th-century American avant-garde sculptors, Widman's talk draws from OJM's current Chaim Gross exhibit. Widman received her MFA in sculpture at the University of Oregon and a BFA at Cranbrook Academy of Art. She has also written two textbooks on sculpture and produced a 20-program series sponsored by Oregon Public Broadcasting.
