Do Jump returns to the Newmark Theatre May 17-31 with !Entusiasmo!, which tells the story of Gaviotas, a village in Colombia, that is an exemplar of sustainable culture. Through invention, ingenuity, imagination and entusiasmo, Gaviotans have invented remarkable windmills and solar kettles and regenerated a native rain forest. The performance is adapted from Alan Weisman's book "Gaviotas: A Village to Reinvent the World." It features traditional Columbian music by Los Llaneros and original music by Portland composer Joan Szymko. May 17, 23, 24 and 30 at 7:30 p.m.; May 31 at 2 and 7:30 p.m.; and May 18 and 25 at 3 p.m. $29.50-$35 adult or $25-30 kids under 12 and seniors.
