Based on the numerous historical excavations performed in Israel, Dig the Past recreates the excitement and adventure of an Israeli archaeological excavation for the community. Participants have the opportunity to have a fun educational experience hunting for "ancient" artifacts, sifting and learning the basics of archaeology. Part of Congregation Neveh Shalom's Yom Ha'Atzmaut celebration, sponsored by the Israel Affairs Committee. Open to all Portland Jewish community members.
