Gala planners at the Oregon Jewish Museum want everyone to save the date of Sunday, May 4, for the museum’s annual Gala and art auction at the Governor Hotel.

Donations are still coming in for both the live art auction and the silent auction. The latter will include as many as 150 different items including such items as vacation getaways, shopping sprees, wine packages and lots more art.The photograph at right is “The Young Violinist,” a painting by renowned watercolorist Arne Westerman who has donated to the auction  every year since its beginning.

A sumptuous dinner will be served. All gala goers will be offered a complimentary glass of wine. Television news personality Cathy Marshall will be the mistress of ceremonies this year. Chris Sheik returns for an encore performance as auctioneer for the third year.

Invitations have been mailed, but you don’t need an invitation to attend. Not everyone is on the OJM mailing list. Persons not on the mailing list yet but who want to attend the popular event can order tickets by calling the museum at 503-226-3600. Tickets are priced $80 general admission and $125 for patrons.
