Speaker Thomas Blatt will discuss his experiences during WWII, particularly at Sobibor, an extermination camp where about 250,000 Jews were killed. He also will talk about his participation in the uprising and escape of October 1943. Blatt was one of about 300 prisoners to escape; he has published two books about his experience called "Sobibor:The Forgotten Revolt" and "From the Ashes of Sobibor." 7:30 p.m. Oregon State University, Austin Auditorium, 100 LaSells Stewart Center, Corvallis. 541-737-2402.
