In celebration of Israel at 60 Congregation Kol Ami is hosting a communal ceremony with readings and lighting of the seven-branch menorah, followed by a service with a D'var on Israel. Afterwards, there will be a DVD presentation of “Our Israel: Shaping Our Relationship," a brief discussion and an oneg of sweets and fruits. 7:30-9:30 p.m. Congregation Kol Ami, 1006-B 146th St., Vancouver. 360-896-8088.
