Bedouin Muslim and Israeli Deputy Consul General Ismail Khaldi will be the keynote speaker to honor Israel's 60th Independence Day. Khaldi's talk is entitled "Pluralism in Israel Today—A View of Israel Through the Eyes of a Bedouin." Additional featured speakers include Rev. Ann Bartlett of Trinity Episcopal Church and Rabbi David Zaslow. Havurah Shir Hadash and Temple Emek Shalom are collaborating with Rev. Ron Timens of Rivergate Church, and other Jewish and non-Jewish organizations, to bring this celebration to the community.
