PROUSER/MARENSTEIN
Rachel Prouser and Bryan Marenstein of Seattle, Wash., announced their engagement Sept. 21. The couple met over winter break while both were completing a graduate degree.
Rachel is an attorney with the Northwest Justice Project. She is the daughter of Nancy and Rick Prouser of Portland. Bryan is an instructor of chemistry and physics. He is the son of Andi and Herman Marenstein of Portland.
The wedding will take place in Seattle summer 2008.
MARTEL/WREN
Sarah Helene Martel of Portland and Jaime Jerome Wren were married Sept. 9 at Skamania Lodge in Stevenson, Wash. Rabbi Isaak, Rabbi Greenstein and Cantor Shivers of Neveh Shalom officiated the ceremony.
Sarah is the daughter of Sheryl and Gary Martel of Portland. Jaime is the son of Lynn and Steven Wren of Gresham.
MARCY MACOUBRAY
A memorial service was held for Marcy Macoubray Sept. 26 at Temple Beth Israel. Mrs. Macoubray died Sept. 23 at the age of 47.
Born in Decatur, Ill., Mrs. Macoubray graduated from Arizona State University in 1982. She was a resident of Forest Heights.
Mrs. Macoubray is predeceased by parents Anita and Alan Lutrin. She is survived by husband George Macoubray, son Aaron Macoubray, daughter Megan Macoubray, sister Michele Tynan and brother Sam Lutrin.
Memorial contributions can be made in her honor to Pancreatic Cancer research.
HARRY ZUGMAN
A funeral service was held for Harry Zugman Sept. 30 at the Gevurtz Chapel. Mr. Zugman died Sept. 26 at the age of 93.
Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, Mr. Zugman had been a resident of Portland since 1924. In 1936 he married Eileen Bashin. Mr. Zugman worked as a manager for Modish Coat Co. for 50 years, was a member of Congregation Neveh Shalom and the Tualatin Country Club.
Mr. Zugman is survived by wife Eileen Zugman, son Richard Lauren Zugman, brother Max Zugman and sister Cecelia Heims.

DANA KOSTINER
Dr. Dana Kostiner has been named chief of the department of medical genetics for the northwest region of Kaiser Permanente. Dr. Kostiner joined Kaiser in Portland in 2002.
She received her MD degree from George Washington University, completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Colorado and her fellowship in genetics at the University of California in San Francisco.
Dr. Kostiner is the daughter of Dr. Tony and Priscilla Kostiner of Portland.
