By Jewish Review
Aviel Brodkin (right) shows (from left) Kesser Vice President Donna Kuttner, President Harry Glauber and board member Peggy Dorf carpet selections for Kesser Israel’s sanctuary during the Oct. 7 “construction open house” at the historic shul’s new home at 6698 SW Capitol Highway, across from the Mittleman Jewish Community Center.
Structural and interior renovation work is nearly complete, and the Kesser board has begun work on a long-range strategic plan. Fundraising for the new shul is continuing, and there has been strong support from congregation members and several in the Portland community. To make a contribution, please contact Allen Levin at 503-849-2605. An official opening date has not yet been set. For updates on the project, see www.kesserisrael.org.
