Hosted by the Hollywood branch of the Multnomah County Library, "Modern Marvels" is part of the reading and discussion series called “Let’s Talk About It: Jewish Literature – Identity and Imagination.” The five-part series explores Jewish literature and culture through scholar-led discussions of books on a common theme. The third session will meet March 11 to explore "Julius Knipl, Real Estate Photographer" by Ben Katchor. Additional books will be discussed once per month at the library: "The Quitter" by Harvey Pekar April 8; and "The Rabbi’s Cat" by Joann Sfar May 13. Associate Professor of English and Humanities Dr. Laura Leibman will lead the discussion. Register for each session individually.
