Women’s Circle adds volunteer opportunitites to programming

By Jewish Review

Portland Jewish Women’s Circle is expanding its focus to include volunteer service to the community, in addition to Judaic programming for women in the community.

As its first community service project, PJWC is seeking women interested in working as Pastoral Care Volunteers serving the spiritual needs of maternity patients at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center. Volunteers are asked to make a one to five hour commitment each month. Training and the opportunity to shadow experienced volunteers are provided.

PJWC’s next program is a Hanukkah Jewelry party Dec. 11.
