Brandon Roy of the Portland Trail Blazers drives around Shane Battier of the Houston Rockets during a game on Dec. 20, 2006, at the Rose Garden Arena in Portland. One of Roy’s teammates will attend the Young Adult Hanukkah Party at the Hanukkah Jewish Celebration Night at the Blazer’s Dec. 9 game against the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Portland Trail Blazers have teamed up with Chabad of Oregon to present the special event, which includes a menorah lighting at 2:45 p.m. at the Fan Stage opposite entry A19. Those who purchase tickets for the Hanukkah Celebration can pick up their special event T-shirts at the same location. Gates open at 2 p.m., with the Blazer’s taking the court at 3 p.m.

After the game, Chabad is hosting a party for young adults ages 21 and older in the U.S. Plywood Room in the coliseum. The party, which will be attended by one of the Blazers players, will include a no-host bar, music and Hanukkah foods. Tickets are available on the Blazers’ Web site (tickets.trailblazers.com/deals and enter the password JPN), by phone 503-963-3974 or at the Everything Jewish Store, 6684 SW Capitol Highway.
