Ex-Portlander performs at White House reception

Nili Isenberg, daughter of Portlanders Charles and Marsha Schiffman, in the far left of the chorus, sang at the White House Hanukkah Reception with the Zamir Chorale on Dec. 10.

“Hanukkah is a time of joy and festivity in the Jewish religion,” said Bush at the reception. ”We’re honored to gather with members of the Jewish community to celebrate this holiday.”
