Nomi Kluger Nash, PhD, a Jungian psychologist, contends that the feminine presence of God in Judaism—a divine presence—has historically experienced a naive "glorification," which twisted the dark side of the feminine into light, overlooking the transformational path of integrating shadow. In accord with Jung, the ancient kabbalists painted a far more varied and intricate portrait of the feminine aspect of God—a spectrum of potencies ranging from creation to destruction. Presented by the Oregon Friends of C.G. Jung. Free for members, $12 for nonmembers. For information, visit www.ofji.org. 7:30 pm. First United Methodist Church, 1838 SW Jefferson St. 503-223-3080.
